Nike acquired a digital design studio in New York City and wanted to design a new space for them. As part of a small team with two interior designers, I helped to develop the concept combining sport with hip hop and sneaker culture. My role on the team was to ensure that we stayed on brand and on concept, as well as to craft the graphics and branding package. I contacted and created relationships with several well-known street artists, including Stikki Peaches, who created the artwork that fills the entry vestibule. I created new artwork, like a custom mini basketball hoop, and a hand-painted rug, while also using existing Nike artwork in new ways to make installations that fit the space and concept.
